What is Cannabis Oil?

-Cannabis oil is a thick, sticky, resinous substance made up of cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, that is extracted from the cannabis plant. Cannabis oil is a cannabis based product obtained by separating the resins from cannabis flowers using a solvent extraction process. Cannabis oil can also be known as marijuana oil, Rick Simpson Oil (RSO), Full extract cannbais oil (FECO), hash oil, dabs, shatter, or wax. Cannabis oil is the most potent of three main cannabis products, which are the actual cannabis flower (marijuana), resin (hashish), and oil (cannabis oil). Cannabis oil is the most concentrated form of the three main cannabis products. That is what makes cannabis oil the most potent.

What is Cannabis Oil used for?

High quality cannabis oil is used in many ways for medicinal purposes and for pleasure. Some medical applications include, treatment for cancer, epilepsy, Crohn’s disease, chronic inflammatory diseases, diabetes, insomnia and many more.

How is Cannabis Oil taken?

The most common ways to take cannabis oil are: by ingesting it (capsules or drops), vaping (inhaling via a vape) and dabbing (thicker oil heated and inhaled). It can also be used to make edible products like brownies, and non-edible personal care products like muscle rubs.

  • Is cannabis legal?
    -Marijuana use and possession is legal in the state of California for medicinal purposes as long as the individual has a recommendation by a physician and is a California resident. Marijuana is a controlled substance according to the federal government, but the current US Justice Department has formally stated it will respect state law regarding medical marijuana patients.
  • Where can I consume it?
    -First, make sure you know the cannabis laws in your state. It’s illegal to use cannabis in public – that includes everything from sidewalks and roads, to parks, sporting and music venues, and retail businesses. You can use cannabis on private property only, so it’s best to stay home or at a friend’s place. Also, remember that landlords, businesses, hotels, and other establishments may have their own policies on cannabis use, so be sure to check first before using.Don’t consume while you’re in the car, whether you’re driving or just along for the ride. When it comes to driving, cannabis consumption is treated like alcohol and is similar to open container laws, so it’s best to keep it locked up and out of reach in the trunk of your car when traveling with it (and make sure you don’t cross state lines with your product!).


  • Do I have to smoke it?
    -No, you don’t! While smoking is still the most common form of consumption, there are lots of smoke-free ways you can use cannabis, all with different applications and effects. Vaporizing cannabis offers similar effects to smoking, but with reduced exposure to harmful carcinogens. Ingesting cannabis as an edible offers full-body effects that last longer than inhaling the vapor or smoke. And topicals allow for localized effects with minimal to no psychoactivity.


  • How much can I purchase and possess?
    -Every state has its own legislation regarding how much cannabis you can purchase and possess. With your California Medical Marijuana Card you are allowed to possess 8 ounces usable of cannabis.


  • What is a Cannabis strain?
    -A strain is a genetic variant of cannabis. Most cannabis strains can be classified as either Cannabis Sativa or Cannabis Indica – two variations of the same basic species of cannabis that have adapted to their natural environments. Today we see the influence of hybrid genetics that combine both indica and sativa varieties.Sativas are known for their tall stature, longer flowering cycles, sweet flavors, and energizingcerebral effects. Indicas are known for their short stature, shorter flowering cycles, pungentearthy aromas, and relaxing full-bodied effects. Hybrids combine the best of both worlds now that cultivators have selectively bred strains for specific attributes like flavor, potency, and overall plant structure.Cannabis Ruderalis is another cannabis strain variant that is less common, and is mostly used in breeding projects to shorten the lifecycle and help keep plants a manageable size.


  • Do I qualify for Medical Marijuana?
    -Qualifying conditions for medical marijuana vary from state to state and can often change as new legislation is introduced. Generally speaking, cannabis is prescribed for patients who suffer from chronic pain,cancer, PTSD, and other debilitating ailments that affect a person’s ability to live a comfortable and productive life.To find out if you qualify for medical marijuana, use the Leafly “Find Nearby” tool to find a doctor in your area who can evaluate your medical needs and prescribe cannabis if you both agree it’s the right treatment for you.


  • How do I join Jimi’s Meds and order medical marijuana?
    -Before we can fulfill any orders you have placed, you must create an account and submit your medical marijuana recommendation. It’s easy to join! Create an Account now and enter in all the information as prompted.  Verification will take up to 48 hours. Once you have been verified, you can select whatever you like, proceed to check out, and submit your shipping and donation information.


  • What is a recommendation? How can I get a recommendation?
    -A California physician can recommend the use of marijuana for treating a wide number of health problems usually to assist in managing pain, anxiety, and/or appetite for a resident of California. The recommendation allows us to verify that a patient can legally possess and use medical marijuana.


  • How do I show you my recommendation/prove my patient status?
    -The easiest way is to follow the steps in our registration process that includes an option to upload a scan or photograph of your ID and recommendation. We use this to verify with the listed doctor your patient status (something we are required to do). We are happy to help if you have any issues! Just contact us here.   • How much is shipping?
    -Shipping is FREE for orders $50 and over.  For orders under $50, shipping is $7.
  • How long will it take for my order to arrive?
    -Orders placed before 12PM PT Monday – Thursday will arrive the following business day. Shipments should arrive by 5pm.

-Orders placed after 12PM PT will be shipped as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee it will arrive the following day.

–Orders placed after 12PM PT on Friday or over the weekend will be sent Monday for delivery Tuesday.  Please contact us for more information about special Saturday delivery and any questions regarding weekend order delivery time.


  • Are same day deliveries available?
    -At this time, same day deliveries are not available. All orders placed through the website are treated as next day deliveries.


  • There was a problem with my delivery. Is there a way to track my delivery?
    -It is important that you contact us as soon as possible if there is a problem with your delivery. Please contact us here if the delivery has not arrived in the expected window of time. We can track deliveries, help fix possible problems or errors in the delivery, or fix issues with the received order, but we must know within 24 hours of expected delivery to be able to rectify the issue.


  • Is there anyone that I can talk to about how to treat my specific medical condition?
    -We cannot give you medical advice, because we do not have any certified medical professionals on staff. We can give you non-professional opinions on what types of medical marijuana MAY help with whatever you are seeking to treat. It is important to seek professional advice from a physician if you are unsure how to treat your medical condition.


  • I really like something that you don’t carry. Is there any way you could start providing it?
    -We love suggestions for medicines our patients are interested in trying or regularly getting! If you have any suggestions we will definitely make a genuine effort to start carrying it. Of course, we cannot promise that we will be successful. Contact us here.


  • Can I donate cash instead of using a credit card?
    -Not at this time.


  • Can I use someone else’s credit or debit card?
    -We do not accept donations from third parties.  The credit or debit card used to process the donation must be in the patient’s name.


  • Why do you need to see a copy of my credit or debit card?
    -For orders with a different billing address from shipping address or in situations in which the order is large, we require new or relatively new patients to submit an image of the front and back of their credit or debit cards.  We strongly recommend taping over the first 12 digits on the card when submitting the image.  To help prevent fraud and protect our patients, we need to see the last four digits on the card, the cardholder’s name, and the cardholder’s signature.


  • Why do you charge a sales tax?
    -The State of California requires that all of the products we offer at Green Soma be taxed at the appropriate rate according to the delivery location. The estimated sales tax is a rough approximation of your sales tax but may be adjusted up or down by up to 1.5% according to where you are located.


  • Are your products free of pesticides and fungicides?
    -We make every effort to ensure every product we provide on Green Soma is pure and produced in a clean grow free from inorganic pesticides. We rigorously test our products to verify their safety and quality.


  • I’m worried about submitting personal medical information online.
    -We’ve designed Green Soma’s site from the ground up with security and privacy in mind, and there are numerous security measures to provide additional privacy concerning your medical information. None of your documents, recommendation and drivers’ license, are kept on our servers. All credit card information is sent using the same SSL encryption standards most banks use.   • Do you deliver outside of California?
    -We cannot accept any out-of-state patients, nor can we ship out of state under any circumstances.


  • How do you do returns?
    -Because we want to ensure the highest quality medicine we cannot accept returns and all donations are final. If for some reason you are dissatisfied with the service or medicine you received, please contact us so that we can help address any problems!


  • Is there a limit on how much I can order from Green Jimi’s Meds?
    -Yes. First time patients are limited to orders that do not exceed 1 oz (28 grams) total their first week with us. Returning patients may order up to 3 oz (84 grams) per week.
  • Do you accept patients under 21?
    -Our policy is not to accept patients or patient caregivers under 21.  If you are under 18, we will need to speak with your patient caregiver and go through a different sign up process.  Please contact us here for assistance.
